Kefir Overnight Oats with Berries, Chia & Seeds

A gut-loving breakfast you make the night before: probiotic kefir and prebiotic oats work together to feed the friendly bacteria in your gut, while chia, seeds and berries add fibre and slow-release energy. It takes five minutes to throw together and waits in the fridge for busy mornings.

Kefir Overnight Oats with Berries, Chia & Seeds

A gut-loving, no-cook breakfast: probiotic kefir and prebiotic oats with berries, chia and toasted seeds for fibre and slow-release energy.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Servings: 2 jars

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 250 ml kefir or natural live yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp mixed seeds pumpkin and sunflower
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • 150 g mixed berries fresh or frozen
  • 1 tbsp nut butter optional

Method
 

  1. Stir the oats, kefir, chia seeds and honey together in a jar or bowl until well combined.
  2. Cover and chill overnight, or for at least 4 hours, until thick and creamy.
  3. In the morning, loosen with a splash more kefir or milk if needed.
  4. Top with the berries, toasted seeds and a spoonful of nut butter, and serve.
